The player fighting the Deerclops

Terraria has had several crossovers with popular titles like Dungeon Defenders and Don’t Starve for many years. Re-logic’s overall action adds more gameplay hours, including unique items like the Houndius Shootius and the Sky Dragon’s Fury.

Although unpopular to some players, the Deerclops earned its name in Terraria for being an optional boss in Pre-Hardmode. But how do you summon it by force? This guide will cover just that, so read on if you want to defeat the entity.

Who is Deerclops?

Deerclops is a Pre-Hardmode boss in Terraria from the game Don’t Starve. You can skip it, but you’ll get decent items to prepare to fight the Wall of Flesh. There are two ways you can summon the monster:

1. Craft a Deer Thing

The Deer Thing in Terraria
Items NeededCrafting Station
Demonite Ore (5) / Crimtane Ore (5)
Flinx Fur (3)
Lens (1)
Demon Altar / Crimson Altar

In a Pre-Hardmode world, Demonite and Crimtane Ores are rare unless you challenge the Eye of Cthulhu, Brain of Cthulhu, or Eater of Worlds. You may use Bombs to mine respective Ore veins, although they rarely appear.

Snow Flinxes always drop 1 to 3 Flinx Furs once you take them down. You can find them in the Snow biome.

As for the Lens, Demon Eyes and Wandering Eyes have a 33% chance of dropping the ingredient upon death.

Head down to your respective Underground evil biome to craft the Deer Thing with all ingredients on your Inventory.

You can use this consumable boss-summoning item exclusively on Ice or Snow biome at any time of the day.

2. Wait for the Boss to Spawn

Alternatively, you can sit back and relax while waiting for the Deerclops to summon in your world. Here are several criteria to consider:

 • Go to a surface Snow or Ice biome and wait for midnight with a blizzard occurring.
 • Don’t build Towns within a 240×135 tile radius. Friendly NPCs aren’t welcome.
 • Consume Life Crystals until you reach 200 HP.
 • Wear armor sets that give at least 9 total Defense.
 • Except for the Blood Moon, there should be no events or a Boss fight happening.

Note that in Don’t dig up and Get fixed boi world seeds, the boss will spawn on the True Surface. Meaning you should dig up, although you’ll need more preparation since evil biomes are rampant up top.

After defeating the Deerclops for the first time, it’ll only have a 25% chance to spawn naturally.

The Eater of Worlds is one of the few pre-Hardmode bosses you’ll encounter in Terraria. Slaying the monstrosity is a must as it counts for gameplay progression, alongside new weapons and items.

Venture into the Corruption (evil) Biome and start contending against the Eater of Worlds. This Worm Food guide will teach you everything about the item and explain why it’s important.

Worm Food – Overview

The Worm Food is a boss summon item which lets you call the Eater of Worlds at any time of day. One limitation is the vicinity area, where using it outside the Corruption biome won’t do anything.

However, using it on Crimson worlds is still possible by placing 300 Corruption blocks. Start using the item within the vicinity, and the pre-Hardmode boss will appear.

Obtaining the Worm Food will unlock the achievement Like a Boss.

How to Get Worm Food?

This boss summon item is only available for acquisition through crafting. At a Demon Altar or Crimson Altar, have the following items:

Rotten Chunk drops from Corruptors, Devourers, and Eater of Souls. On the other hand, Vile Powder is acquirable by paying Silver Coin (1) to the Dryad.

The Queen Bee is one of many pre-Hardmode bosses. Defeating the monstrosity is unnecessary, but it unlocks the Witch Doctor NPC.

The Witch Doctor is known for its important shop wares that you can benefit significantly from. One of them is Pylons – a placeable object that allows you to teleport from any biomes. Of course, there are several more valuable items, granted you’re done contending the Queen Bee.

But to even begin the long journey, it’s vital to spawn the boss itself. The available way is through breaking the Larva inside Beehives. Alternatively, you can opt to summon the abomination with an Abeemination. What’s the item, and how to get it? We’ll discuss everything below.

Abeemination – Overview

The Abeemination is a Boss summon item for the Queen Bee. It works in the Jungle surface or Underground Jungle exclusively. From standards, the material is the only handcrafted out of several objects with similar functions.

Since Hive Blocks are scarce, fighting the Queen Bee is limited per world. Exceptions include creating a Journey Mode character where research and duplication are possible. The same goes for the Celebrationmk10 world seed, where a Jungle Mimic’s stuff cannon attack (drops the block).

How to Get the Abeemination?

Crafting is solely the way of obtaining the summon. With your hands, you’ll need the following items:

 • Bottled Honey (1)
 • Hive (5)
 • Honey Block (5)
 • Stinger (1)

Terraria Mechanical Worm: Everything You Should Know| Full Guide 2022 https://avidgamer.gg/terraria-mechanical-worm/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=terraria-mechanical-worm Sun, 25 Sep 2022 19:00:00 +0000 https://avidgamer.gg/?p=1887 More...]]>

Many bosses in Terraria appears whenever time and condition permits. Although the challenge is present, defeating them would mean a lot to your progress. That’s because there are rewards present, introducing you to better and stronger arsenal of weapons.

Aside from meeting specific requirements, contending another boss fight needs a summoning object. One of them is the Mechanical Worm. In this guide, we’ll introduce the item and what boss you can spawn. More importantly, we’ll help you craft or find one!

Mechanical Worm – Overview

This item is known to spawn the Hardmode version of the Eater of Worlds, The Destroyer. Since it’s another difficulty, expect that battling the enemy will be much more complex and lengthy than pre-Hardmode.

Nighttime is the best moment to use the Mechanical Worm as it spawns The Destroyer. Unlike the Worm Food, you can initiate the action outside of Corruption. However, using it in Daytime won’t summon the entity or consume the item. Moreover, two bosses of this type can’t co-exist, so defeating one first is important.

Note: Obtaining any boss-summoning item in Terraria will unlock the Like a Boss achievement.

How to Get a Mechanical Worm?

There are two ways to get the item:

 • Monster loot
 • Crafting

Suppose The Destroyer isn’t destroyed for the first time, every enemy has a 0.04% chance to drop the Mechanical Worm. However, Meteor Heads and Old One’s Army enemies won’t count as they’re statue-spawned.

Alternatively, crafting the item is plausible. Head near a Mythril Anvil or Orichalcum Anvil and have the following items in your inventory:
