Everything you need to know

General Information

The Enchanted Boomerang is a type of thrown melee weapon that returns to the player after damaging an enemy (non-piercing), traveling for 23 tiles away, or hitting a solid object. It is the successor of the Wooden Boomerang.

When normally used, the Enchanted Boomerang will emit light, making the players see a little better in the dark. It also phases through any type of block when returning to the user. The Enchanted Boomerang can also squeeze through one-block-wide gaps at the right range. When used on liquids, the Enchanted Boomerang’s travel speed and range drastically decrease.

In 3DS, the Enchanted Boomerang can autoswing.

It is a general rule to aim above enemies for unlimited piercing when using the Enchanted Boomerang. This unique property is possible thanks to all Boomerang’s capability of phasing through walls. One can easily handle a wave of slightly weak enemies and deal high knockback with the Enchanted Boomerang.

At the right range, enemies will receive two consecutive damage as the Enchanted Boomerang goes to the target and back to the player. Damaging enemies on both ends of a wall is also possible when executed at the right position and range. This unique property makes the Enchanted Boomerang pass through walls unhinged while keeping hostiles at bay.

The Enchanted Boomerang can be partnered with any backup weapon if the thrown weapon is still traveling midair. Alternatively, the player could just get in close range and land consecutive attacks, as the weapon’s use time is determined once the boomerang returns.

Since the Enchanted Boomerang is a melee weapon, some accessories, all flasks, and armor can enhance its travel range, flight speed, and apply flask-related buffs.

The Enchanted Boomerang, a direct upgrade from the Wooden Boomerang, makes it highly useful and powerful in the early to mid-Pre-Hardmode. Generally, the former is more favorable to use because of massive stats improvement and 10x selling price compared to the latter.

The Enchanted Boomerang is best modified with Godly or Demonic, providing a wide array of stats improvement.
