Terraria (Wiki): Palm Wood Sword
Everything you need to know
The Palm Wood Sword is a melee weapon that pierces enemies.
The Palm Wood Sword is an alternative version of the Wooden Sword. It has a shorter use time and deals one more damage and knockback than the Wooden Sword. The Boreal Wood Sword, Iron Shortsword, and Rich Mahogany Sword are all comparable to the Palm Wood Sword in terms of damage. A Palm Wood Sword cannot autoswing. Its attack reaches two tiles in radius. At an optimal distance, the Palm Wood Sword can pierce two enemies. However, multiple bodies will be damaged should they all line up for the player.
When normally used, the Palm Wood Sword will not emit light, and attacks do not go through walls.
Combat-wise, the Palm Wood Sword's decent damage and low use time might be effective against waves of enemies with low health. All Flask items will imbue their unique effects since the Palm Wood Sword is a melee weapon.
The Palm Wood Sword is best modified with Legendary for overall stats improvement.
Strengths & Weaknesses of the Palm Wood Sword
- Easy to obtain.
- Higher damage output than the wooden sword.
- Decent against a small group of enemies.

- Better melee weapons exist for waves of enemies.
How to get the Palm Wood Sword
At a Workbench, craft Palm Wood (7 (desktop, mobile, console, old-gen consoles)) to create a Palm Wood Sword. The Palm Wood can be obtained by cutting down palm trees in the Ocean or Oasis (desktop, mobile, console) biomes. It can be crafted as early as Pre-Hardmode.
