The Mythril Sword is a Hardmode broadsword that ranks at the middle of the Hardmode ore sword hierarchy but is less powerful than its alternate ore due to higher damage output.
The Mythril Sword can only be obtained in Hardmode.
The Mythril Sword is best modified with Legendary to improve all stats.

How to get the Mythril Sword
At a Mythril Anvil or Orichalcum Anvil, craft Mythril Bar (8) (desktop, mobile, console) / Mythril Bar (10) (3DS, old-gen consoles) to create a Mythril Broadsword. It can be crafted only after reaching Hardmode.
