Terraria (Wiki): Morning Star
Everything you need to know
The Morning Star is a whip that pierces and damages multiple enemies. The last enemy hit by the Morning Star is targeted by summoned sentries and minions, amplified with +8ATK and +12%CRIT chance. A 5% damage reduction penalty is also applied to consecutive hits. It can be considered as an indirect counterpart to the Kaleidoscope, a stronger whip.
During combat, the Morning Star shines the most against large waves of enemies. Its raw damage, critical strike chance, extremely low damage reduction penalty, and strong knockback are enough compensation compared to the Kaleidoscope.
The player could utilize the Durendal or Dark Harvest’s attack speed, then switch to the Morning Star as the latter whip will inherit the said stat.
Because of the Leather Whip’s extremely low damage reduction penalty, it is considered perfect for waves of enemies.
The Morning Star is best modified with Legendary to improve all stats.
