Everything you need to know

General Information

The Snowman Cannon is a launcher-type weapon that fires an explosive snowman-shaped rocket, chasing after the nearest enemy before exploding upon contact. It uses rockets as ammunition despite the weapon firing unique projectiles. The resulting explosion has a considerable reach, making the Snowman Cannon damage multiple enemies. It is also capable of autofiring.

The Snowman Cannon is considered one of the strongest explosive weapons that keep all special rockets’ effects. It is also an upgraded version of the Rocket Launcher.

It is, however, unable to destroy tiles in old-gen consoles.

When the Rocket Launcher is put into action, the projectile is noticeably not emitting light. Fired rockets are unaffected by gravity and will endlessly travel directly toward the cursor until it comes into contact with a block, finds an enemy to chase, or disappears into space.

Once a fired projectile is chasing an enemy and fails, it will turn back and continue the chase unless it hits blocks. If the player actively avoids destroying tiles, Rocket II, Rocket IV, Cluster Rocket II, and Mini Nuke II shall not be used. Otherwise, it should be done in an open space.

If the enemy being chased is slain, however, the rocket midair will chase another closest enemy. If there are no more hostiles, it will continue to travel, unaffected by gravity.

Although the Snowman Cannon’s rockets deal massive damage against enemies, the player caught within the explosion radius does not need to worry since self-inflicted harm is negated.

With PvP off, misfiring the Snowman Cannon to friendlies will not damage them upon projectile impact. However, the same cannot be said once PvP is enabled, although rockets will not home to players.

With its splashing damage capability, the Snowman Cannon can also take down enemies behind cover using most rocket ammunition. Exceptions are Dry Rocket, Wet Rocket, Lava Rocket, and Honey Rocket.

During the Martian Madness event, the player will encounter the projectile-reflecting Selenians. As with its terrifying skill against the player, the Selenian will reflect all projectiles except launched rockets.

Shroomite Helmet and other items that boost ranged damage are excellent for the Snowman Cannon.

The Snowman Cannon can handle large waves of enemies coming from events and invasions. Most Worms’ segments will also take damage from the weapon’s launched mines as it explodes in a large radius.

Because of its decent fire rate and inability to harm the player, the Snowman Cannon is great for creating and removing a pool of liquids quickly and efficiently.

The Snowman Cannon benefits the most from Unreal - the best modifier for ranged weapons - dramatically improving all stats and increasing the weapon’s overall value by sixfold.
