Everything you need to know
General Information
The Celebration Mk2 is a launcher-type weapon that fires one of seven unique rockets when used, regardless of ammunition. Each projectile behaves differently as it comes into contact with a block or a hostile mob. The resulting explosion has a considerable reach, making the Celebration Mk2 damage multiple enemies. It is also capable of autofiring.
The Celebration Mk2 is an upgraded version of Celebration.
When the Celebration Mk2 is put into action, the projectile is noticeably emitting light. Fired rockets (depending on the type) are also heavily affected by gravity, traveling a few tiles before exploding on the ground.
Overall, there are seven different rocket types classified by their color. All types have similar damage, critical strike chance, and knockback. These are:
- Red Rocket
Can pierce enemies, but targets must not be too close. Otherwise, it will have reduced capability. Red Rockets also explode upon block contact.
- Orange Rocket
When fired, an Orange Rocket will arc (affected by the player’s cursor as to where it is vertically positioned). It has a large AoE damage hitbox and forms a shockwave upon ground impact. Orange Rockets increase their size the longer they travel.
- Yellow Rocket
Yellow Rockets travel in a straight line until it slowly becomes affected by gravity, exploding on impact. Visually, its movement is in a zig-zag pattern.
- Green Rocket
When fired, a Green Rocket will home to enemies like how Chlorophyte Bullets behave.
- Blue Rocket
Two Blue Rockets are fired at once, traveling in a straight, helical pattern.
- Purple Rocket
Three Purple Rockets are fired, forming a shotgun-like spread pattern, exploding on contact.
- Pink Rocket
No special property.
All rocket projectiles of the Celebration Mk2 retain some ammunition’s destructive capabilities, namely Rocket II, Rocket IV, Cluster Rocket II, and Mini Nuke II. However, using liquid rockets and attempting to create or destroy liquids will do nothing.
Notably, the Celebration Mk2 will fire rockets randomly when using the Use/Attack button once. When held, however, it will create a pattern: Red - Orange - Yellow - Green - Blue - Purple - Pink.
Although the Celebration Mk2’s fired rockets deal massive damage against enemies, the player caught within the explosion radius does not need to worry since self-inflicted harm is negated.
Of all Rocket Launchers, the Celebration Mk2 offers the strongest knockback. The weapon also possesses the fastest cooldown usage and projectile travel speed.
With PvP off, misfiring the Celebration Mk2 to friendlies will not damage them upon projectile impact. However, the same cannot be said once PvP is enabled.
With its splashing damage capability, the Celebration Mk2 can also take down enemies behind cover using all rocket ammunition.
While the Celebration Mk2 can defeat most mini-bosses in seconds, it is less effective when dealing with distant enemies.
During the Martian Madness event, the player will encounter the projectile-reflecting Selenians. As with its terrifying skill against the player, the Selenian will reflect all projectiles except launched rockets.
Shroomite Helmet and other items that boost ranged damage are excellent for the Celebration Mk2.
The Celebration Mk2 can handle large waves of ground enemies coming from events and invasions. Most Worms’ segments will also take damage from the weapon’s launched mines as it explodes in a large radius.
Using Rocket II, Rocket IV, Cluster Rocket II, and Mini Nuke II with the Celebration Mk2 can mine over a thousand blocks every 5s to 8s, depending on the ammunition. Despite being better than traditional digging tools and the fast mining capability, the Celebration Mk2 lacks accuracy versus Drill Containment Unit, Shroomite Digging Claw, and Snowman Cannon.
The Celebration Mk2 benefits the most from Unreal - the best modifier for ranged weapons - dramatically improving all stats and increasing the weapon’s overall value by sixfold.
