The Wormhole Potion in Terraria from the Player's Inventory.

Conquering bosses in Terraria can be challenging, but the journey gets more enjoyable when you team up with friends. It’s important to be prepared during your encounter with a boss. If you find yourself or a friend meeting an untimely end, particularly when the boss is a distance away, getting back into the fray becomes a top priority.

That is where the Wormhole Potions come into play. If you’re not familiar with how to use this potion for teleportation, we’ve got you covered with helpful instructions!

What is a Wormhole Potion?

The Wormhole Potion grants you the ability to teleport to your team members. It’s valuable in multiplayer encounters against bosses, especially when restricted to a particular area like the Wall of Flesh battle.

Fallen comrades can reenter the fray upon revival, but make sure they’re positioned close to the boss. Wormhole Potions have a chance to appear as drops from Pots and Slimes, but this only happens in multiplayer mode.

You don’t actually need other players to be online for these potions to drop. Simply choose the multiplayer option, host the game, and you’ll be able to gather those potions for yourself.

Alternatively, gather 3 Bottled Water, 1 Specular Fish, and 1 Blinkroot, then combine them on an Alchemy Table or Placed Bottle. Wormhole Potions might surprise you as a bonus drop from Slimes, and solo players can craft it in single-player mode.

How to Use the Wormhole Potion in Terraria

Several players encountered an issue where their Minimap vanishes from their display. Not only were they unable to teleport using a potion, but it also failed them, even if they tried dropping it.

To add to the frustration, hitting the teleport button yielded no results.

If you find that the Wormhole Potion isn’t working, keep in mind that it only lets you teleport to your teammates, and the teleport will show up in a status message. If your Minimap is disabled, you can’t use Wormhole Potions.

To get this done, open up the full-screen map (press “M” on the keyboard, “Start” on a PC controller, “Select” on PlayStation, “Back” on Xbox, and “Minus” on Nintendo Switch). Once the map is open, locate the friend you wish to teleport to and tap on their icon.

Aside from Water Candle, certain potions like the Battle Potion are indispensable for getting rare items or equipment.

In this guide, you’ll learn everything about the item in detail and how to acquire one.

Battle Potion – Overview

The Battle Potion is a buff potion type that gives the Battle buff:

 • 2x spawn rate for both enemies and critters.
 • 2x on-screen enemies at once.

Its effects have a 7-minute duration, although you can cancel it by clicking the icon (upon consumption).

Because of the Battle Potion’s effects, farming rare items during Blood Moon and Solar Eclipse, for example, becomes easier. Goblin Tinkerer, Mechanic, Skeleton Merchant, and Wizard also have higher spawn rates after applying the effect.

On a side note, be wary when using the consumable and entering Dungeons, as the enemies’ spawn rate can be overwhelming. The same idea applies while battling a Boss since you’ll want to complete the process quickly.

Battle Potion functions similarly to the Water Candle, providing increased spawn rates. On the other hand, Sunflowers and Calming Potions balance the effect. The latter is also the Battle Potion’s counterpart. However, both potions are buff, while the Water Candle is a debuff.

Note: Using the Battle Potion during Pumpkin Moon or Frost Moon won’t increase the spawn rates of rare enemies and critters.

How to Get a Battle Potion?

At either a Placed Bottle or Alchemy Table (crafting stations), you can make a Battle Potion with the following items:

 • Bottled Water (1)
 • Deathweed (1)
 • Rotten Chunk (1) or Vertebra (1)

It’s not new to defeat bosses in Terraria with some potions for extra stats spice. Sometimes, slaying enemies for progression takes longer and more challenging, prompting players to use the Endurance Potion.

In this guide, you’ll learn everything about the concoction that makes you more resilient in battle, regardless of your class. Moreover, we’ll help you with how to brew and what ingredients are needed, alongside tips for your advantage.

Endurance Potion – Overview

Consuming an Endurance Potion enhances damage reduction by 10%. The Endurance buff lasts four minutes and can be canceled by right-clicking the icon. It’s perfect for battling bosses with high base damage and works well alongside Ironskin Potions.

Combining this potion with Beetle Armor and Worm Scarf will increase the damage reduction by 60%. However, it can go up to 74% with the Frozen Turtle Shell.

How to Make an Endurance Potion

There are three ingredients to brew the concoction. These are Armored Cavefish (1), Blinkroot (1), and Bottled Water (1). The crafting station you’ll need is either a Placed Bottle or the Alchemy Table.

Armored Cavefish is uncommonly found in the Underground or Cavern by fishing. Also, any biome except the Desert in Underworld layers are perfect spots to catch the creature.

On the other hand, you can get Blinkroot anytime from Dirt or Mud blocks.

The Wormhole Potion: One of the best potions in Terraria https://avidgamer.gg/wormhole-potions/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=wormhole-potions Fri, 12 Aug 2022 09:24:03 +0000 https://avidgamer.gg/?p=193 More...]]> Terraria provides players with a plethora of different ways to spice up their gameplay. Some of these come in the form of potions. From simple, yet effective health potions, to potions that turn you into a walking glowstick, they are essential to any players’ toolkit.

The Wormhole Potion is one of the most useful potions when playing in a multiplayer world, allowing you to teleport to anywhere your teammates are. This proves especially effective in boss fights, as it allows the player to quickly go back and rejoin the fight after they have been killed.

How can you obtain a wormhole potion?

There are 3 different ways to get your hands on a wormhole potion.

 • By destroying pots scattered around in your world. This is by far the most effective way to obtain wormhole potions.
 • As a drop from killing slimes.
 • Through crafting.

Note: Wormhole potions only drop in multiplayer sessions. However, there only needs to be one person online on the server for them to be able to be dropped.

Bottled water

 • Bottled water can be crafted by using a bottle near a water source/sink.
 • Bottles can be crafted with 1 block of glass at a furnace.
 • Glass can be obtained by crafting 2 of any types of sand at a furnace.

Specular fish:

 • You can obtain this type of fish by fishing in the Forest, Snow and Jungle biomes or the Underground, Caverns, and Underworld layers of your world.

Blinkroot:

 • Blinkroot is an herb grown on dirt or mud blocks. These herbs are mostly found underground due to the lack of grass blocks.
 • Blinkroot can also be planted on dirt, mud blocks or planters using Blinkroot Seeds, and can also be found in herb bags.

Making Ale in Terraria (Full Guide 2022) https://avidgamer.gg/ale-terraria-guide/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=ale-terraria-guide Sun, 07 Aug 2022 11:35:18 +0000 https://avidgamer.gg/?p=87 More...]]> You’ll get a different outcome in battle or boss fights when using Buff Potions. On a larger scale, your chances of surviving an encounter and defeating an entity are significant. However, lower-tier concoctions stored in your chest are better than nothing.

One of them is Ale – a common drink that alleviates calmness and optimizes your battle performance. Albeit a Tier 0 item, it’s multifunctional in Terraria for different reasons we’ll mention in this guide!

Ale – Overview

As a multi-purpose item, Ale is categorized as a potion, food, ammunition, and crafting material. Its standard classification is an in-game concoction that boosts players‘ melee abilities.

Specifically, you’ll get the Tipsy debuff for two minutes, where you’ll have -4 Defense. However, it’s a good trade for several stats, including +2% Critical Melee Hit, +10% Melee Attack Speed, and +10% Melee Damage.

For less conserving players, feel free to use it as ammunition for the Ale Tosser. This weapon deals 20 Damage upon impact.

How to Make Ale?

Brewing this concoction takes almost no resources to make! Move near a Keg and start crafting the item with Mug (1). An alternative but expensive way is by buying from the Tavernkeep for Silver Coin (1).

Planning to profit with the potion is possible because of the difference between making and selling costs. Using Sand Blocks, you can make a Mug from a Glass at the Furnace. It’s free as long as you’re in the Desert. In total, you’ll make Copper Coins (20) decent enough for a beginner-friendly way of farming money.

Item Upgrade

Ale is a key ingredient in making Molotov Cocktail – a consumable item that burns and damages enemies in its vicinity. With your hand, make sure to have the item (5), Pink Gel (1), Silk (1), and Torch (1) in your inventory.
