How to Combine Accessories

The Tinkerer’s Workshop is a crafting station in Terraria where you can combine accessories. The Tinkerer – which appears in the Cavern layer upon repelling the Goblin Invasion – sells it for 10 Gold Coins.

Note: Accessory combinations in this list are updated as of Terraria version 1.4.4. We’ll keep you posted on the changes.

Blend-O-Matic – Explained

The Blend-O-Matic is a crafting station in Terraria for making Asphalt Blocks, granting you enhanced speed when traversed. Moreover, walking on Asphalt Blocks also reduces the time it takes for you to come to a stop. 

Acceleration becomes even more potent when combined with other speed-boosting items like the Hermes Boots. Remember that this only affects players running directly on the Asphalt Blocks, leaving enemies, NPCs, and critters unaffected.

When you run on said blocks, you can achieve an impressive top speed of 53 mph by accelerating for around three seconds. This is a significant difference compared to the usual maximum running speed of 15 mph.

Such swiftness makes these blocks valuable for various purposes, from constructing Skybridges for collecting Fallen Stars to creating Arenas for Hardmode Terraria bosses.

If you’re aiming for better movement and strategic benefits, acquiring the Blend-O-Matic is a must!

Acquiring the Blend-O-Matic

Once he’s present, you can buy the Blend-o-Matic from the Steampunker for 10 Gold Coins. To acquire the NPC, you must defeat at least one of three Mechanical Bosses in Terraria. We strongly advise targeting either the Destroyer or the Skeletron Prime.

The Destroyer is a mechanical worm with varying health that doesn’t split into smaller segments – unlike its Pre-Hardmode counterpart. It shoots lasers if there’s space and releases Probes to attack when a part is destroyed. You can easily counter this enemy by equipping any piercing weapon or high DPS. 

Alternatively, you can go against Skeletron Prime – a more agile version of the Pre-Hardmode Skeletron. If the mechanical boss isn’t defeated before the night ends, it’ll target and likely kill you in one hit before despawning.

What is a Sawmill?

The Sawmill is a crafting station measuring 3×3. You can use it for making decorative furniture items and several advanced Wood products. Currently, you can make 219 items with the Sawmill.

What is a Loom?

The Loom is a crafting station in Terraria, mainly used for crafting Silk and silk-based items. In several versions, including the Japanese console edition, the Loom can craft 64 unique items which are mostly vanity costumes.

How to Get a Loom?

If you explored long enough in the Underground, you’ll sometimes find the crafting station on Underground Cabins. Break them, and you’ll get the Loom. Note: Not to be confused with Living Looms found on Living Trees, as they’re unrelated.

Alternatively, you can make your Loom at the Sawmill, by bringing any type of Wood (12).

Anvil – Overview

An Anvil is a crafting station for making different types of armor, tools, and weapons. It’s one of the most indispensable items in Terraria as it makes your journey self-sustainable.

We recommend placing the Anvil on solid blocks or platforms with proper spacing of 2×1 tiles.

Extra Note: The Anvil is classified as furniture. However, it won’t necessarily fulfill the NPC housing requirement for flat surfaces. Moreover, even items are non-placeable!

You can get two achievements with the crafting station: Heavy Metal and Blacksmith. The former is acquirable by obtaining your first Iron Anvil or Lead Anvil. The latter is unlockable in later gameplay upon crafting 300 items.

Different Types of Anvils

There are four types of Anvils in Terraria:

• Lead
• Iron
• Mythril
• Orichalcum

The first two are available on pre-Hardmode only. The same can be said for Mythril or Orichalcum. In functionality, each counterpart functions similarly.

Iron Anvil costs Silver Coins (50) from the Merchant or looted inside Underground Cabins. However, Lead Anvil won’t naturally spawn as opposed to its counterpart, although Lead Ore is present in the world.
